This year, I have made a decision to ‘go public’
I sometimes feel like I am a secret boyfriend you can’t wait to talk to your friends about, only that nobody else shares your enthusiasm.
They don’t know me, and you can’t find a big proof to point to that I exist or even worth paying attention to.
I am not a Gbenga Sesan, or a Praise Fowowe, or Kunle Soriyan or (insert the big names you know here).
It is partly because I like the underground stuff. I like to be gaining ground, helping people and achieving stuff ‘silently’.
For example, when I got the contract to develop the LSDPC (Lagos State Development and Property Corporation) website, I was a serving Youth Corper and even beat a foreign multinational company to the project.
And I hone my skills to make sure I am good enough and offer great value to my clients.
But it is time to occupy in 2015.
So I want to consciously change that silent approach.
I plan to get featured more, write for big publications, speak on stages and release more products. (gradually).
This means I am now open to opportunities and putting conscious effort in gaining relevant recognition in the industries I am involved in.
Right now, there is an opportunity to make it happen.
The Nigerian Blog Awards nominations are now open!
Note: I don’t want to be a nominee, I want to win every category I am nominated in
And I know you can help me achieve it.
